Abstract: Hodgkin-Huxley model is the paradigm around which the conduction of nerve impulses in neurons is quantitatively undersood. The purpose of this talk is to discuss deviations from this model and their theoretical explanation. Before we do that we will review the Hodgkin-Huxley model.
