Department of Theoretical Physics, TIFR

The Department of Theoretical Physics of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research would like to invite applications from outstanding candidates for academic positions. Applicants should have a Ph.D., post-doctoral experience, and a demonstrated excellence in research. The level of the appointment would depend on previous experience of the applicant. Members of our department are presently working in the areas of condensed matter and statistical physics, high energy physics, lattice gauge theory, string theory and mathematical physics, and cosmology. We are also looking for applicants in new areas ranging from theoretical biophysics to quantum computation.
