Workshop on String Theory and Fundamental
Physics

A week long workshop was organized at the Kanha Tiger Sactuary in
February 2009. This workshop was attended by about 40 string
theorists (about 12 of whom were from outside India). Several of the
participants at this meeting delivered lectures on their recent work,
on topics that ranged from the application of string theory to
particle phenomenology, heavy ion collisions, black hole physics, the
effective action of the QCD string. This meeting was a success.
