The Max Planck - India Partner Group scheme , initiated by the Max Planck Society in 2005, is meant to promote collaborations between outstanding young Ph.D. Indian researchers who have returned to an Indian research institute after a stay of at least 12 months at a Max Planck Institute.
TIFR hosts the Partnergroup of the Max Planck Institute for Physics, Munich (MPP) in "Neutrino Physics and Astrophysics", led by Dr. Amol Dighe since January 2005. The corresponding scientist in MPP is Dr. habil. Georg Raffelt .
