about myself |
|
I am a faculty member at the Tata
Institute of Fundamental Research
(TIFR) in Mumbai, India, in the Department of Theoretical Physics. My
research deals with the physics of elementary particles, more
specifically Quantum Field Theory and String Theory. If you like,
you can learn more about these subjects by going to the
Physics
page of this website.
I have recently started a blog called
tantu-jaal
that you may like to look at.
Here are some views of the Tata Institute (click to
I have a serious interest in Indian Classical Music,
on which I spend a large part of my spare time. You will
find more about this on my Music page.
Some Photographs from my album can
be viewed on this site.
My other interests include travel, meditation, software,
literature, cinema, photography, jazz and rock music, and
cooking. I don't claim to be
particularly good at any of these (except perhaps cooking). Some of
these interests are represented on the
Interests page.
I maintain a website on the legendary Pandit Kumar Gandharva,
the musician who was a towering intellectual figure in Indian Classical
Music.
To navigate through my Home Page, please click on any of the links at
the left.
